//JUST IN: LD Tuttle Shoes

Oh.

My.

God.

You guys. They’re here. We’ve honestly been going crazy waiting (and obsessively watching the UPS tracking) for our first season of shoes and I think you can see why. LD Tuttle’s shoes are jaw-droppingly gorgeous and totally different. No boring basic pumps here; only lovingly crafted shoes hand made in Italy and designed in New York. We’re sorry we made you wait over two years for us to start carrying shoes, but believe me — it was sooooooo worth the wait.

image

From left to right: The Lean, a leather wrapped clog with a back buckled strap; The Split, a strapped sandal with deceptively dainty-looking suede mesh inlay; and The Weave, a show-stopping heeled boot with textured and smooth leather panels and a center back zip.

image

From left to right: The Shifter, LD Tuttle’s ultra-clever transformable boot that goes from a tall boot to a super easy-to-wear short boot; and The Push, our favorite boot of the season, which features a wrinkled leather upper that you can pull or push to style as you please and an insanely tall wedge platform.

Now, ladies of San Francisco, you have to promise not to fight each other over these, okay?

Odyn Vovk AW10

Completely, thoroughly, utterly impressed by Austin’s new collection. We just received the Melton Wool Long Coat, the Green Wool Patch Jacket, the Terry Pullover and the 13 Loop Waxed Denim from the Odyn Vovk AW10 collection. The Melton Wool Coat is absolutely amazing. Long and slender, with definition and shape. It’s warm enough to sleep in, rad enough to travel to Antwerp in. $943

image

image

I’m obsessed with the punk influence of this jacket. It sits short, zips tight, has frayed edges, but looks like an expensive piece of work. $540

image

image

Similar to the OV Hoodie, this Terry Pullover has the slub on the outside, soft side on the reverse. The fit is slim and long, with slit pockets and a giant hood. $286

image

image

The denim really turned out amazing. This is Odyn Vovk’s signature 13-loop Japanese denim, with a wax coating. The finish is a bit shiny but will wear down quickly into the best waxed denim you’ve ever owned. $288

Don't Get Tied Down

Unless it’s by one of these new Gitman Brothers Wool Ties. We just received the best accessory to your white button down. Throw on a flannel chalk strip tie, a thick wool solid tie, or a skinny multi colored tie. You won’t look tied down, just buttoned up.

$88 each.

be on your Best Behavior

Sometimes I wonder if I should just up and leave the US, take up needle point or flower arranging in another country. Mostly because of my whimsical obsession with the Norwegians and their fun, relaxed take on fashion. Bold prints, wide stripes, not so common shapes, and easy materials. I just don’t want to be wearing this box shaped, angular, harness thing all the time to be on trend. Check out Best Behavior from Danish designers Marie Ørberg and Malene Brøchner. I love the prints, the stripes, and the easiness of it all. Like flower arranging.

//JUST IN: Flutter by Jill Golden

There’s really few things more satisfying than receiving a small little box and finding a treasure trove of shiny new things. And there’s few things newer than introducing everyone to a new label at Acrimony.

With Flutter, New York jewelry designer Jill Golden combines the street-chic ethos of the Big Apple with inspirations drawn from her global travels. The casual elegance of Parisians strutting down Saint-Germain, the graceful curl of Arabic, the ancient beauty of Ionic columns in Greece — it all comes together in brilliant brasses, silvers, and gunmetals.

image

image

Felix rings in oxidized silver, gold

A chunky band supports a wicked nest of spheres, spikes, and stones. The bright metals and geometric shapes make this cocktail ring an absolute knockout.

image

Baylor bracelet in brass

Who knew something as practical and austere as an ID bracelet could look so good? Reworked in brass with extra-chunky chainlinks and a sprawling combination of beads, stones, and delicate spheres, the Baylor lets everyone know exactly who you are.

image

Jackson pendant in brass

This chunky pendant, with a triply repeated sphere and spike motif, is full of little charms. Strung on a delicate beaded chain the Jackson with a single asymmetrically set stone, the Jackson is that rare statement piece that’s super wearable.

image

Jana earrings in brass

Drawing on both her namesake butterfly and the sloping curves of Moroccan architecture, the Jana earrings are a perfect blend of shape and sparkle. Three chunky open shapes are set with two rows of stones that radiate out from a large, central crystal.

image

image

Auguste earrings in oxidized silver, gunmetal

Stripped down to a startlingly simple shape, the Auguste throws punk rock, Art Deco, and vintage influences into a blender on HIGH. These earrings remind you of something you grandmother would have passed down to you…if your grandmother had been a French bohemian who time-traveled to the punk-era England.

Until these sick pieces get added to the webstore the only way to get your hands on them is to either visit us in person or e-mail us at info@shopacrimony.com.

Let's Face It

Summer is never coming to San Francisco. Mother nature has simply forgotten about this town. We haven’t had a warm day since that one day back in June, and now it’s been stated that it’s the coldest summer since ‘71. SHIT that was way before I was born, so for me, it’s officially the coldest summer ever. Thank goodness I have these to look forward to next week. Yeeee! New cardigans at Acrimony by Soyun.

Generic Man Sp11

Hello People~
These Generic man shoes have been stomping around in my head for 2 weeks now. I’m obsessed with the cognac wingtip with Vibram sole. A bit chunky, a diversion from the super skinny/low profile oxfords that have been stealing the scene for so long. Slightly reminiscent of a Visvim shoe I was in love with (until someone started wearing it and it became my most hated shoe), wears a bit like a Red Wing but NOT A REDWING. Italian made, lightweight, pebbled leather and most of all, a refreshing style for the gentleman.

image

And then there’s him. More Vibram sole but with a thick canvas upper. One piece top panel, white trim, perfect for warm weather shorts and tee’s. Hopefully these will be sitting in our shop for you to see next Spring.

Denim Shirt Daily

My friend Mandy said to me the other night, “I’ve never seen you wear the same thing twice except for that denim shirt…”

This is a gross misconception as I am always wearing the same things. I covet, love, re-wear and repeat. But the fact that she actually noticed the repeat of the denim shirt means that I have been wearing it to death. Noted.

It’s just such an easy piece, and goes with everything. It’s so comfy, can be buttoned or left open, and is instant cool at any moment. So finally we are getting the most perfect denim shirt in the shop for you to also add to your rotation. Check out the new IRO denim shirts in 2 washes. These are part of a special capsule collection that was only made for the Paris stores (and Acrimony, apparently). $175, in stores next week. Come in, try one on, fall in love, repeat.

//JUST IN: Made Her Think — Acrimony Exclusives

This set of jewelry has been in the pipeline for quite a while, but now we’re very happy to show off our exclusive set of crystal-embellished jewelry, straight from the workshop of Made Her Think to our door and (hopefully) to your fingers, ears, and wrists! The oxidized silver Talon earrings, Talon Knucklebuster ring, and Talon & Scorpion Bracelet would make for a formidable set of accessories on their own, but we asked Meredith Kahn to cover them with black Swarovski crystals and as you can see below, the results are amazing. If you’d like to purchase any piece from this mini-collection (or if you’re craving the whole lot), feel free to e-mail us at info@shopacrimony.com for inquiries.
