Our first batch of Wings + Horns’ fall 2011 collection is due in any day now, but we were pleasantly surprised when we received a box with this season’s skinny jean. For guys who have been on the hunt for THE perfect pair of black skinnies, look no further.
A super skinny fit with all the little bits of tailoring and detailing that you all have come to expect from Wings + Horns. Darts on the inner rear create a super perfect fit without unnecessary tightness. A 95% cotton, 5% stretch blend makes these super comfy, while the raw overdye means these jeans are jet black and aren’t overly stiff. All Wings + Horns denim (including the selvedge jeans that are coming in shortly) are finished with super clean leather back patches and “+” stitching on the leather patch and at the side seams.
We’ve honestly never tried a pair of skinnies that fit this well and after trying them on, Marcus is already threatening to buy a stock of these, so if you want them, get in here ASAP!
If you haven’t ventured into the breezeway at Acrimony recently, you haven’t seen our new installation of succulents that has taken over our outdoor space. Each is available to purchase so you can take home one of 60 varieties in a unique Mason jar. The installation was put in by Deborah Quast, local SF resident/photographer /innovator. Peep her bio after drooling over what could be living on your window sill.
Deborah is an innovative San Francisco resident, photographer, and artist who firmly believes there is beauty in everything and everyone around her. She repurposes every day items to create beautiful, environmentally friendly objects that can be viewed with a whole new appreciation. Just like each person, every succulent terrarium is unique and beautiful in its own way. With over sixty different varieties of succulents and each unique glass jar, no two terrariums are alike. The bottom of the jar is filled with pebbles to ensure proper water drainage, and the soil used is hand blended specially for succulents. Each succulent is planted with great love and care in Deborah’s charming San Francisco studio.
Don’t have an outdoor area to keep them in? That’s fine! These little terrariums are actually designed to live indoors or outdoors! All they need is sun, water, some loving vibes, and you will be amazed at how your new succulent does!
Prices range from $14-$19 depending on the jar and size. Add some green to your easy living, won’t ya?
A future purchase for sure: My Pet Square S12 leather dress. Hi-YAAAHHH!
We thought fall would trickle in to our doors, bit by bit, so imagine our surprise with the FLOOD of new styles from Jeffrey Campbell that came in! Our buy is full of little details that are going to drive you crazy; shiny things, woven things, slouchy things, platform things. There’s guaranteed to be something for everyone.
A simple silhouette with a killer chunky heel and platform finished off with a shiny pewter toe. A great everyday option that has a little more kick than a plain boot.
This chunky platform wedge gives some seriously good face. A woven front contrasts perfectly with the smooth leather-covered wedge heel. Elastic back strap makes them super easy to wear, too!
A staple style that every woman needs — nay, deserves — to have in her closet. Soft, lightly structured leather with a comfy stacked heel. Wraparound buckled strap lets you style them how you please.
Or for the girl with a tougher look, opt for the France in a slouchy, soft black leather instead. Same great shape, totally new look.
A fashion staple, the Chelsea boot, gets a real lift with a hidden wedge and a burnished leather upper. Whether you pair ‘em with your favorite beat up jeans or some super slick trousers, pull ‘em on and walk it off.
Don’t let the cute d’Orsay cut fool you; these platform flats have some major attitude. The patent leather upper and dainty ankle strap are nice and pretty, but the chunky platform and contrast leather trim won’t let anyone think you’re just a girly girl.
Any outfit will get a big lift from these ultra-versatile and comfy leather platform wedges. A chunky platform gives it plenty of height while the crisscrossed straps create a beautiful shape that can dress up or down.
While we love dark, rich colors and fabrics, there’s just something about sparkles and shine that we can’t resist. The 99-Tie may have a very straightforward cut and shape, but the all-over glitter treatment is a real knockout. We recommend pairing it with dark colors for some crazy contrast.
What happens when you take a man’s hiking boot and add some serious vertical lift? Sounds like a recipe for some kick-ass shoes. Soft suede upper with hiking-boot inspired details like D-ring eyelets, and a padded leather heel cup.

One of the first SS12 lookbooks to cross my desk before women’s market begins, and what an amazing lookbook it is. **update: replaced lookbook photos for runway photos**
According to Carin Rodebjer: SS12 is about imagining an artist mixing life & work under the blazing sun of the Mediterranean coast; an intense presence, when everything is connected - when life feeds art - art feeds life - and something unique and natural is born.
I think the looks are modern, the shapes are etherial but not bohemian, the colors are spot on with Spring trends and the prints are loud but not obnoxious.
I should be dressed head to toe in Rodebjer next season, and you as well.
