1. We had to look this one up in the dictionary: “Ambulamus”. Latin for “We walk”, it’s the title of Tiffany Tuttle’s latest spring collection, which makes sense when you think about it. Her totally modern footwear is made for walking, but we’d argue that they’re made for coveting and collecting, too. The spring collection is here now, but take a peek at this season’s video lookbook and bask in sun, sand, and shoes.

  2. Veda Castor Vest //

One of my favorite pieces this season is from VEDA: the Castor Vest in this deep burgundy color. How unexpected is this amazing piece of leather?! We included it in our FW12 Stylebook and found it was one of the easiest pieces to style with. Throw it over a sweater, under a jacket, over florals, under denim, etc etc… It’s the perfect amount of bad ass without going over the top.

Brianna wears the VEDA Castor Vest over a T by Alex Wang Neoprene Bomber and Rodebjer Flower Blouse, with THVM Orion denim and LD Tuttle Balance Boot.

  3. If you ask us, nothing compares to the look and feel of film. Take another look at select ensembles from our fall women’s lookbook—this time from a whole new perspective. We guarantee that there are some details you missed the first time around.

A truly international cast of designers helps transform the Acrimony muse from moody and feminine to sporty and sleek effortlessly. Featuring select pieces from Henrik Vibskov, T by Alexander Wang, DRKSHDW, Minimarket, Funktional, LD Tuttle, Rodebjer, SUPER, Kai-aakmann, and more.

  4. We might have just gotten in some more LD Tuttle shoes today, but we hope you didn’t forget about the crazy ridiculous sneaker that we already have up on the site. The Mountain might be kind of a scary name for a shoe, but slip into these buttery soft suckers and let your fears be dispelled. And besides, if you’re feeling nervous, you can always reach down, pet the rabbit fur tongue panel and calm yourself down.

  5. Our spring LD Tuttle collection has arrived and it’s a doozy! Boots in every imaginable shape, size, color, and material, with crazy comfortable heels and gorgeous new shapes. The line is pushing forward into new directions with looks that have one foot in traditional, classic styles and one foot firmly planted in the future. Come in and make your feet really happy.

  7. //JUST IN: LD Tuttle Shoes

    Oh.

    My.

    God.

You guys. They’re here. We’ve honestly been going crazy waiting (and obsessively watching the UPS tracking) for our first season of shoes and I think you can see why. LD Tuttle’s shoes are jaw-droppingly gorgeous and totally different. No boring basic pumps here; only lovingly crafted shoes hand made in Italy and designed in New York. We’re sorry we made you wait over two years for us to start carrying shoes, but believe me — it was sooooooo worth the wait.

From left to right: The Lean, a leather wrapped clog with a back buckled strap; The Split, a strapped sandal with deceptively dainty-looking suede mesh inlay; and The Weave, a show-stopping heeled boot with textured and smooth leather panels and a center back zip.

From left to right: The Shifter, LD Tuttle’s ultra-clever transformable boot that goes from a tall boot to a super easy-to-wear short boot; and The Push, our favorite boot of the season, which features a wrinkled leather upper that you can pull or push to style as you please and an insanely tall wedge platform.

Now, ladies of San Francisco, you have to promise not to fight each other over these, okay?

  8. LD Tuttle F/W 10 Video

Are you as excited about F/W shoes from LD Tuttle as we are?! I for one, cannot wait. We just received word of a short video produced by Zen Sekizawa, featuring an Olympic rhythm gymnast. Clearly, don’t try this at home with 5 inch heels on. But if you do, please send us the link.

    Check out the video HERE.

  9. Coming Soon…

I live in anticipation. I feel excited, overwhelmed, anxious, and exuberant at the thought of having these pieces sit in the shop. There are so many amazing items/designers/concepts happening for Fall. Even with my new camera, I suck at capturing the reality of some of these treasures. But I tried my best to keep my cool while celebrating my first venture into footwear for the shop.

    Enter…LD Tuttle @Acrimony for Fall 2010.

People, yes, it’s OK to gasp in pleasure.

“The Push in Vapor.” This boot has a steady platform and moderate pitch, modestly speaking considering your nose will be smelling the air of alter elevations. The soft nappa leather can be scrunched at the ankle or pulled high and fastened with velcro.

“The Weave in Black.” Combat style lace-up with mis-aligned eyelets for a unique design up the front.

“The Lean in Black.” A clog. A super rad platform clog with an adjustable buckle sling back. If you don’t already own a platform clog you need this one. Even if you do, you still need this one.

“The Split in Vapor.” Suede mesh sandal that engulfs your foot like a glove. It feels Balenciaga without the extra zero at the end.

“The Shifter in Black.” A unisex boot that can be worn folded over as a short boot or unfolded as a tall shafted boot. Genius.

“The Gather in Black.” Another repeated style from past seasons…good enough to keep around FOREVER. Unisex for all.

  10. LD Tuttle

Marcus stopped by to say hello today. Between chatting about YSL boots, Odyn Vovk shorts and messy crack heads, he managed to educate me on LD Tuttle for MEN. I didn’t know they were launching men’s footwear. So I flipped through my massive stack of lookbooks, and ta-da! Mixed within the women’s shoes were a few *U (unisex) styles. Some goodies:
