1. There’s something totally entrancing about Lady Grey jewelry. We can’t be sure whether Jill and Sabine are actual alchemists or witches or whatever, but they somehow manage to take otherwise simple shapes with metals we all know and love and then create something that feels—dare we say it—magically new? This season, their signature crystal embellishments are done using matte white malachite and glowing silver bismuth (grown in their own studio!) to create pieces we know you’re all going to love. From earrings to cuffs to rings to collars, indulge a little (or a lot) in some new gleaming jewels to keep your spring shiny and brand new. Available now at both Acrimony and ACRE/SF as well as online at our webstore.

  2. Our spring collection of glittering, glimmering, glamorous, gorgeous, and completely gratuitous Lady Grey pieces has arrived in store. And in case you couldn’t tell, we’re gaga for gold this season.

  3. It’s been on our racks for a bit, but we’re happy to announce that V by Verlaine, the luxe line of basics from New York’s masters of edgy glamor, is now available to shop online. Inventive cuts, mixed textures, and fantastic fabrics have made it our favorite new way of dressing down. Shop V by Verlaine and other new spring arrivals now!

  4. Marcus left his perch at Acrimony to stop by the photo studio to help out with some new spring merchandise that we’re going to be adding to the site shortly. Imagine our surprise when he walked in wearing his special ordered DRKSHDW skirt! For those who want to try it for themselves, we’ve just received this season’s Dark Dust Detroit Poplin Jean for that crisp, modern line down the leg and we still have one Prisoner Jacket on sale from our fall collection with its distinctive cut and silhouette that looks so modern and bad-ass, skirt or no.

  5. Our spring LD Tuttle collection has arrived and it’s a doozy! Boots in every imaginable shape, size, color, and material, with crazy comfortable heels and gorgeous new shapes. The line is pushing forward into new directions with looks that have one foot in traditional, classic styles and one foot firmly planted in the future. Come in and make your feet really happy.

  7. NYC - Men’s Recap

Woop! Men’s market came and went this past week in NY. In 100 degree smoldering heat, we barely made it out without our faces completely melting off. Some of the highlights include more new brands, exciting expansions of existing brands, and best of all, a really positive outlook on next year’s Spring assortment. I never feel so compelled by Spring collections, but next year is really promising.

Two new Japanese brands to add to our brand line up: JS Homestead, by Journal Standard and Mighty Mac.

How do you properly represent a “heritage” Japanese brand without looking like you came straight off the railroad tracks circa 1870? Piece by piece.

When I saw this Porter bag that latches on to your blazer or parka, I nearly fell over. Mighty-Mac, designed for the harsh conditions on the open ocean, has this easy sensibility with overwhelming function. Mix and match your choice of Porter bag as an accessory. Genius.

Spring is a definite season for hats. Everyone needs to be wearing a hat, whether it be a baseball cap, a fedora, OR A MIX OF THE TWO. Soulland from Denmark is making this one that I was completely obsessed with.

Or with a shorter bill, from Henrik Vibskov. Either way, secure a hat.

Speaking of Vibskov, there will finally be a place to buy the collection in SF. @Acrimony! Print tees, oversized sweaters, humorous shapes, crazy socks, and now scents being produced in the South of France. Henrik is always there to remind you not to take yourself too seriously. Their temporary showroom was in an amazing Soho loft that the artist owner purchased 40 years ago for $600!

Excited about our 2nd season with Robert Geller. New frames in new colors. Plus Robbie’s bracelet obsession. Join the party.

Eskuche is making some really nice (low-key/non-branded) headphones. I love the rose gold ones. We’ll have them in-store by September.

More new brands: General Idea. We’ve been talking about this Korean born label for months now. The patterns, fabrication and fit are pretty spot on. Marcus came appropriately dressed in stripes for this appointment!

Shoe party! Common Projects returns to Acrimony. Rachel Comey comes to our new shop (still unreleased, still!).

Mens and womens DRKSHDW was definitely a hightlight. Marcus is getting his skirt. YES, HE’S GETTING HIS SKIRT.

Overall, bueno bueno trip. Til next month NYC.
